About Dr. Jane Smith
Licensed Clinical Psychologist with over 15 years of experience helping individuals overcome challenges and achieve personal growth.
My Journey to Psychology
My passion for psychology began during my undergraduate studies when I volunteered at a crisis hotline. Witnessing the profound impact of compassionate listening and evidence-based interventions sparked my commitment to this field.
After completing my PhD in Clinical Psychology at Stanford University, I pursued specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). These approaches form the foundation of my practice, complemented by mindfulness techniques I've cultivated through my own meditation practice.

My Personal Philosophy
"Healing begins when we feel truly seen, heard, and understood."
I believe that every person has an innate capacity for growth and healing. My role is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings, understand patterns that may be holding you back, and develop new ways of relating to yourself and others.
Therapy isn't about "fixing" what's broken - it's about uncovering your inherent strengths and wisdom. Together, we'll work to cultivate self-compassion, build resilience, and create meaningful change that aligns with your values.
Outside of my practice, I'm committed to staying current with psychological research through ongoing training and consultation. I also prioritize my own self-care through meditation, hiking, and spending time with my family, which allows me to show up fully for my clients.
